Generally, community colleges offer two year associate’s programs and are considerably cheaper compared to private colleges and universities. Usually, these community colleges are spread across different areas in different states and they are focused on industry specific programs that are relevant to their location. For example, bronze-work is not a common program, but is available in those places where the market for bronze sculptures and art can be very important. What is post secondary education varies from student to student depending on what his or her career goals are and what motivates him or her to achieve that dream. Some students think that it is a lot better to go to college to create a network and to also enjoy their youth as a student and experiencing what most of their peers might also be doing. However, that is not the only option. If you have a specific goal and you feel that real world experience can only give that to you, then technical colleges or career colleges can be beneficial since they give you the techniques while you develop your own theories of learning.
